Centrifugal Pump Lubrication Map
Pump bearings and seals take the most abuse. Matching the grease or oil to the frame keeps pumps on line.

Centrifugal Pump Lubrication Questions
What lubricant should I use on centrifugal pump motor bearings?
We recommend HUSKEY™ Coolube Grease for normal conditions, or HUSKEY™ 775 FMG Grease where NSF H1 food-grade is required. Full-speed bearings need a smooth high-speed grease. Typical interval: Every 3 to 6 months.
What lubricant should I use on centrifugal pump pump bearings (greased frame)?
We recommend HUSKEY™ TF-1000 Multi-Purpose PTFE Grease for normal conditions, or HUSKEY™ 775 FMG Grease where NSF H1 food-grade is required. Carries the impeller thrust. Grease must handle heat and moisture near the seal. Typical interval: Every 1 to 3 months.
What lubricant should I use on centrifugal pump pump bearings (oil-bath frame)?
We recommend HUSKEY™ HLO Series Oils for normal conditions, or HUSKEY™ 15A14 Series Lube Oils where NSF H1 food-grade is required. For frames with a sight glass. Keep the oil at the center of the glass. Typical interval: Check weekly. Change every 6 to 12 months.
What lubricant should I use on centrifugal pump shaft coupling?
We recommend HUSKEY™ Coolplex Grease for normal conditions, or HUSKEY™ 775 FMG Grease where NSF H1 food-grade is required. Grid and gear couplings need grease to stop wear and noise. Typical interval: Every 6 months.
What lubricant should I use on centrifugal pump mechanical seal & o-rings?
We recommend HUSKEY™ LVI-50 for normal conditions, or HUSKEY™ LVI-50 where NSF H1 food-grade is required. Lubricates O-rings at assembly so they seat without nicks. Typical interval: At every seal change.
What lubricant should I use on centrifugal pump flange bolts?
We recommend HUSKEY™ 341 Copper Anti-Seize Compound for normal conditions, or HUSKEY™ FG-1800 Anti-Seize and Thread Sealing Compound where NSF H1 food-grade is required. Wet, corrosive service. Anti-seize keeps flanges serviceable. Typical interval: At every assembly.
