Why treatment plant equipment is hard to lubricate
Water is the obvious enemy: it washes grease out and emulsifies oil. Slow, heavily loaded drives stress the lubricant film. Hydrogen sulfide and chlorine attack metal. Near drinking water, every product also has to be safe.

A USDA/NSF H-1 Registration permits use of HUSKEY 350 SILICONE GREASE in applications where there may be incidental food contact.

What oil should we use in vertical turbine pumps?
A non-emulsifying synthetic oil such as HUSKEY 15A14 Series, which is waterproof, biodegradable and designed for vertical turbine pumps in water and wastewater plants.
Are your products NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 certified for potable water?
Several of our greases are NSF H1 registered and suitable for incidental potable water contact. NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 is a separate certification for drinking water system components. Tell us the application and we will confirm what is required.
Which grease works for dam gates and hydroelectric equipment?
