Mining equipment works harder than almost anything else in industry. Shovels, crushers, haul trucks, conveyors and drills run under heavy shock loads in dust, mud and water, often far from the nearest parts depot. Lubrication is the cheapest insurance a mine can buy against a catastrophic failure.
What wears mining equipment out
Most bearing and pin failures in mining start with contamination or lubricant starvation. Abrasive dust mixes with grease, water washes it out, and a missed greasing point runs dry. Shock loads then finish the job. The fix is a tougher lubricant, delivered more consistently.

Dyna-Mite Red Grease
DYNA-MITE RED GREASE is a unique high-temperature, extreme pressure, non-melting premium quality grease designed for very heavy-duty service in adverse environments. It is a blend of high quality petroleum oil and special synthetic polymers which work together to form an extremely water-resistant, tough lubricating film that prevents water washout and metal-to-metal contact even under extreme pressure or shock loading. HUSKEY DYNA-MITE RED GREASE is formulated with the optimum amounts of additives to provide maximum protection against rust, corrosion and oxidation. HUSKEY DYNA-MITE RED GREASE contains no fillers or clay thickeners. The distinctive red color makes it easy to identify during and after lubrication.

MOLY-GRAPH Grease is blended from the highest quality selected paraffinic petroleum oils, polymers and shear stable synthetic thickeners available. Treated with the latest chemical E.P. additives, rust and oxidation inhibitors to provide lasting protection against friction, wear and corrosion. Graphite and Molybdenum Disulfide (MOLY) lubricating solids of precise sub-micron and micron size have been completely homogenized into the product to further enhance load capacity, improve metal surfaces and reduce friction. Its Polymer base helps the grease to stay put and seal out dirt, water and other contaminants.

OPEN GEAR GREASE is a heavy-duty, highly tenacious, semi-synthetic open gear lubricant containing a balanced blend of molybdenum disulfide (moly) and graphite, incorporated in a non-asphaltic, non-melt base grease that contains no clay fillers. Treated with the most modern additives to provide lasting protection against extreme pressure, wear, rust, and oxidation on gear faces and sliding surfaces operating in temperatures from -5°F to 425°F.

CHISEL PASTE is an extreme pressure, high temperature paste fortified with a balanced blend of Copper and Graphite in a heavy duty, high film strength base oil. Due to its high solid content and non-melting synthetic thickener it will not slide down the shank of the tool during its operation.

341 COPPER ANTI-SEIZE is a heavy-duty, economical industrial anti-seize and lubricating paste containing a balanced blend of copper and graphite powder in a no-melt petroleum base grease. LPC GEAR OILS are high-performance, fully synthetic, all-purpose gear oils formulated with HUSKEY’S new proprietary SEM (Surface Eutectic Modification) additive. The revolutionary new SEM technology makes it a Lower Power Consumption (LPC) gear oil, hence the name LPC Gear Oil. They offer maximum wear protection under extreme operating conditions such as vibrations, scuffing, oscillating motions, and shock loads, where metal asperity contact occurs. Because of the thermally and mechanically stable polyalphaolefin (PAO) base oils and SEM technology, HUSKEY LPC GEAR OILS give extra protection to micro-pitting due to asperity contact. In addition, compared to both conventional mineral and synthetic gear oils the HUSKEY LPC GEAR OILS have proven they can lower the operating temperatures of the gearbox resulting in lower power costs. WIRELINE DRESSING is a heavy duty, tenacious, semi-synthetic penetrating grease fortified with sub-micron size particles of Molybdenum Disulfide (Moly) and Graphite. This high performance liquid grease goes on as a liquid to penetrate to the core of the wire rope. After it penetrates and coats the metal surfaces, the carrier solvent evaporates, leaving behind a tough, durable grease film that protects under the most adverse conditions.

What should we use on hydraulic breaker chisels?
A high-solids paste that will not slide down the tool, such as HUSKEY Chisel Paste with copper and graphite.
