We recommend HUSKEY™ RB-2 All Purpose Drill Collar & Tool Joint Anti-Seize Compound for normal conditions. Thread compound prevents galling and wash-out and gives clean breakout. RB-2 is HUSKEY’s most versatile drill collar and tool joint compound. Typical interval: Every connection.
What lubricant should I use on water well & drilling rig rotary head gearbox?
We recommend HUSKEY™ Enclosed Gear Oils for normal conditions, or HUSKEY™ 15A14 Series Lube Oils where NSF H1 food-grade is required. Shock loads and high torque. Choose the heavy-load gear oil. Typical interval: Check level daily. Change per rig maker.
What lubricant should I use on water well & drilling rig wire line & hoist cable?
We recommend HUSKEY™ Wireline Dressing for normal conditions. Penetrates to the core of the rope, then sets to a tough film with moly and graphite. Typical interval: Weekly in heavy use.
What lubricant should I use on water well & drilling rig mud & water pump?
We recommend HUSKEY™ TF-1000 Multi-Purpose PTFE Grease for normal conditions, or HUSKEY™ 775 FMG Grease where NSF H1 food-grade is required. Grit and water attack pump bearings. Use a tough, water-resistant grease. Typical interval: Daily during drilling.
What lubricant should I use on water well & drilling rig mast hydraulics?
We recommend HUSKEY™ HLO Series Oils for normal conditions, or HUSKEY™ FG-300 Lube Oils where NSF H1 food-grade is required. Hydraulics raise the mast and feed the drill. Keep the fluid clean and dry. Typical interval: Check level daily. Sample yearly.
