Air Compressor Lubrication Map
Compressor oil sees heat, moisture and air at pressure. Non-detergent compressor oil keeps valves clean and rings sealing.

Air Compressor Lubrication Questions
What lubricant should I use on air compressor compressor crankcase oil?
We recommend HUSKEY™ N-500 Series Oils for normal conditions, or HUSKEY™ HI-LO Series Oils where NSF H1 food-grade is required. Non-detergent compressor oil resists carbon on valves and rings. Typical interval: Check daily. Change every 500 to 1,000 hours.
What lubricant should I use on air compressor motor bearings?
We recommend HUSKEY™ Coolube Grease for normal conditions, or HUSKEY™ 775 FMG Grease where NSF H1 food-grade is required. Full-speed bearings need a smooth high-speed grease. Typical interval: Every 3 to 6 months.
What lubricant should I use on air compressor air line lubricator?
We recommend HUSKEY™ HI-LO Series Oils for normal conditions, or HUSKEY™ 15A14 Series Lube Oils where NSF H1 food-grade is required. Feeds a fine oil mist that protects air tools and cylinders downstream. Typical interval: Top up weekly.
What lubricant should I use on air compressor pipe fittings & threads?
We recommend HUSKEY™ 400 Thread Sealing Compound for normal conditions, or HUSKEY™ FG-1800 Anti-Seize and Thread Sealing Compound where NSF H1 food-grade is required. Seals threaded air fittings against leaks, which waste energy. Typical interval: At every assembly.
What lubricant should I use on air compressor seized bolts & drain valves?
We recommend HUSKEY™ Rust Release for normal conditions. Frees rusted hardware and protects it from moisture. Typical interval: As needed.
