Mixer & Agitator Lubrication Questions
What lubricant should I use on mixer & agitator agitator gearbox?
We recommend HUSKEY™ Enclosed Gear Oils for normal conditions, or HUSKEY™ 15A14 Series Lube Oils where NSF H1 food-grade is required. Carries the mixing load. In food plants use the NSF H1 gear oil. Typical interval: Check level monthly. Change yearly.
What lubricant should I use on mixer & agitator motor bearings?
We recommend HUSKEY™ Coolube Grease for normal conditions, or HUSKEY™ 775 FMG Grease where NSF H1 food-grade is required. Full-speed bearings need a smooth high-speed grease. Typical interval: Every 3 to 6 months.
What lubricant should I use on mixer & agitator shaft seal & o-rings?
We recommend HUSKEY™ LVI-50 for normal conditions, or HUSKEY™ LVI-50 where NSF H1 food-grade is required. Right above the product. Use NSF H1 seal lubricant in food and pharma. Typical interval: At every seal change.
What lubricant should I use on mixer & agitator outlet valve?
We recommend HUSKEY™ No. 3 General Purpose Valve Lubricant & Sealant for normal conditions, or HUSKEY™ Lube "O" Seal Valve Lubricant Grade where NSF H1 food-grade is required. Lubricated valves need sealant to seal and turn easily. Typical interval: Per valve schedule.
