Electric Motor Lubrication Map
Over-greasing kills more motor bearings than under-greasing. The right grease in the right amount keeps motors cool and quiet.

Electric Motor Lubrication Questions
What lubricant should I use on electric motor drive-end bearing?
We recommend HUSKEY™ Coolube Grease for normal conditions, or HUSKEY™ 775 FMG Grease where NSF H1 food-grade is required. Carries the belt or coupling load at full speed. Use a high-speed grease. Typical interval: Every 3 to 6 months. Add slowly, do not over-fill.
What lubricant should I use on electric motor fan-end (opposite) bearing?
We recommend HUSKEY™ Coolube Grease for normal conditions, or HUSKEY™ 775 FMG Grease where NSF H1 food-grade is required. Lighter load but full speed. Same grease as the drive end keeps it simple. Typical interval: Every 3 to 6 months.
What lubricant should I use on electric motor terminal box connections?
We recommend HUSKEY™ HVS-100 Silicone Grease for normal conditions, or HUSKEY™ HTL-500 Grease where NSF H1 food-grade is required. Dielectric grease keeps moisture and corrosion off the connections. Typical interval: At installation and every service.
What lubricant should I use on electric motor shaft, key & coupling fit?
We recommend HUSKEY™ Moly-Graph Grease for normal conditions. Prevents fretting and lets the coupling come off without a fight. Typical interval: At every assembly.
What lubricant should I use on electric motor mounting bolts?
We recommend HUSKEY™ 341 Copper Anti-Seize Compound for normal conditions, or HUSKEY™ FG-1800 Anti-Seize and Thread Sealing Compound where NSF H1 food-grade is required. Stops rust welding the bolts in place, so alignment work stays easy. Typical interval: At installation.
