Sawmills and wood products plants are hard on equipment. Chains and conveyors move heavy logs and lumber all day, while sawdust, sap and moisture attack every bearing and link. Many operations also run outdoors, from log yards to forestry equipment.
What goes wrong
Sawdust mixes with sticky lubricants to form an abrasive paste that wears chains and sprockets. Water washes grease out of outdoor bearings. Heavy, continuous loads push gearboxes and drives to their limits.
Better options available

Chain & Cable Lube
CHAIN & CABLE LUBE is a transparent, heavy-duty dry film lubricant that cleans, penetrates and lubricates. It is formulated with the latest synthetic additives to assure maximum penetration and protection against rust and corrosion. When applied, the carrier solvent quickly evaporates, leaving behind a wax-like extreme pressure lubricant which will not wash-off or attract dust.
